What an inspiring story! Your dedication towards finding out what your daughter needed and then acting on it, pushing the school to get her the services that would benefit her, speaks volumes as to the kind of person you are. My son has Aspergers with ADHD and had a terrible 6th grade year. We were afraid they would retain him but instead they accepted him into special ed for the first time in his life. Being special is a HUGE motivator!!! I can only hope that my son responds as well this year as your daughter did in her 7th grade year! Kudos to you!!!
