Thank you Rebekah, I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to my post.
I am actually waiting on insurance approval for a highly recommended Psych who knows more about Adult ADD than I do! Unfortunately if I don't wait for the approval I will have to pay $300 for a first visit appt. arrgh I hate being at the mercy of the insurance companies!!!
My new motto....K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Silly ;-)
Happy New Year to all you wonderful Diva's!
Warmly, Monica

Monica! Please, please PLEASE go find another doctor! I know sometimes we feel at the mercy of our doctors with the attitude "Well, he's the one with the degree..." but you have to realize that there are good doctors, and there are BAD doctors--and you'll usually know which is which!

If your doctor seems more interested in collecting the insurance check than helping you learn about and find answers for your ADD, you really need to kick him to the curb. Yesterday!

More does not necessarily equal better. You may just need to try another med or combination of meds.

Hi, I am still not finding any help from the medicines i'm on, 70mg of vyvanse and 25 mg of strattera. I am so very frustrated and don't know where to turn or who to ask for more help. The psych that I'm seeing is horrible, he won't explain nor talk about the effects to expect etc. His only interest is my insurance and making sure I have that next appt. I am in therapy with his therapist(required). He is a nice guy but not an ADD specialist and is more focused on the symptoms that my ADD has manifested instead of the ADD.
The psych last appt. did prescribe more Vyvanse, he said he would go up to 90 mg for me(i am a large person) and 60 mg of stratterra. Unfortunately I have yet to go get them because he said the insurance company wouldn't pay for the higher doses. Will more be better? does anyone have any similar situations? I would greatly appreciateall comments and others experiences.
Thanks so much for listening and providing this sight, I feel like its a safe haven for me.
God Bless, Monica
